Overview

A quantity surveyor with four or more years building, civil or M&E experience is required by this leading client organisation. The opportunity provides good employment security, a varied workload plus excellent career progression and working conditions.

You will act as commercial lead to deliver new projects, maintenance and improvement schemes carried out by framework contractors. This will include building structures & building fabric, HVAC and utility networks. Their building and infrastructure assets are extensive and spread over a site covering half a square mile. As a member of their engineering and project management team you will report to the commercial manager and work alongside in-house project managers whilst collaborating closely with framework partners.

Checking and authorising contractual claims, variations and extension of times. Monitoring of work packages, financial forecasts and providing input on the procurement and tendering process. They collaborate with industry leading contractors and consulting engineers. This plus a highly organised processes and managerial support means their operations run smoothly and economically. You will be a member of a highly professional multidiscipline team working with a client operating a complex site to the highest standards.

You should be a quantity surveyor educated to at least HNC level with a minimum of four years’ experience. This could be gained with a building, civil, M&E or multidiscipline maintenance contractor. An understanding of tendering and contract administration is desirable.
