Overview

A chartered civil engineer is required by one of the world’s largest forensic investigations consultants for the built environment. Using your civil engineering experience you will be identifying the root cause of failures affecting  infrastructure and heavy civil engineering assets.

Your Role: Your workload will have a civil engineering focus, encompassing the transportation, development infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors.  Assignments will be in the UK and occasionally overseas. Forensic investigations are reactive, commencing with a physical investigation. You will establish the root cause of failures, considering factors  such as the design, construction methods, materials used, loadings, environmental conditions, and site conditions. You will manage budgets, schedules, resources, and client expectations across projects, maintain service levels and forge strong working relations with clients.

Company Overview:  One of the largest forensic investigations firms, their London office employs over fifty staff. Their experts include civil and structural engineers, architects, and scientists. They have a growing international footprint, undertaking projects across mainland Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.  They are especially active within construction, infrastructure, manufacturing and energy. Their UK business is steadily expanding providing excellent scope for progression.

Profile Required: A chartered civil engineer with at least ten years work experience. A strong technical background is essential. This could have been gained with a consulting practice or a contractor, and will have given you expertise in design that includes an element of  site investigation, survey or assessment work. A rounded understanding of the design and construction process should be complimented with good lateral thinking skills. You will be an experienced industry insider, and capable of managing your own workload.
