Overview
An opportunity for a structural CAD technician who wants to deepen their Revit skills and enjoy a more varied and engaging workload. Our client is one of London’s most respected independent structural engineering consultancies. They work closely with leading architects and are known for thoughtful design, technical rigour and ingenuity.
Company Profile: The practice is frequently selected by architects who want structural input that supports ambitious and distinctive design. Their work spans the arts, leisure, education, residential and commercial sectors. They place great importance on understanding architectural intent, which leads to closer collaboration and more considered outcomes. This approach has resulted in award winning projects, including a Stirling Prize, recognised for elegance, practicality and reduced environmental impact. They work with reinforced concrete, steel, timber, glass and ETFE. The studio is arranged into small project groups led by associates, with a flat structure and open plan environment.
Your Role: You will play a vital part in the design process. Your experience should include steel and concrete structures. You will produce general arrangement drawings, BIM models, visual material and other documents that support the development of each project. With guidance from senior engineers you will contribute to elements of scheme and detail design, gaining valuable insight into how structural solutions are developed. The design team works closely together from the earliest stages, each project is as a collaborative effort.
About You: You should hold an HNC, a degree or an equivalent qualification, with at least two years of experience in building structures. You must be confident using AutoCAD and have some experience of Revit, with a clear desire to strengthen your skills further. Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning are essential.
