An opportunity to join a multi-discipline consulting practice that is growing their civil and structural division. They are looking for a civil/structural engineer with a strong technical background and good breadth of experience. The company is especially active within the rail sector, this presents a wide variety of work on buildings, bridges, depots, infrastructure and stations. In addition, they also work within the industrial, healthcare and education sectors.

Reporting to a principal engineer you will assist with design and project delivery. The position is client facing and you will assist with specification, site supervision, quality control and provide input on developing designs from first principals. Your workload will encompass new and major improvement schemes covering reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures.

About you: You should be a degree or HNC qualified civil or structural engineer and have future plans to achieve Eng Tech, I.Eng or C.Eng status with the ICE or IStructE. A design background gained within a consulting or contracting environment focused on building or civil structures. Broad technical interest is required enabling you to tackle a range of technical challenges, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, there will be extensive interaction with clients and third parties. You should also have some working knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation.
