A building structures engineer with lateral thinking skills and design flair is required by a leading Central London design studio. This busy and established specialist structural practice offers technically challenging and rewarding work, a comprehensive remuneration package and a friendly and professional environment to work in. They are located in Farringdon and focus on building structures projects, predominantly in the capital. The firm provides a high level of technical expertise regularly lending their skills to demanding projects. Clients include retailers, hotels, airlines, theatres, charities, developers, leading architects, City institutions and custodians of important landmark buildings.

The position will provide engineering challenges that will develop your engineering and engineering delivery skills and prepare you for promotion. You will be involved in conceptual and detail design, manage projects, and work closely with clients, often as their main point of contact. In addition to working with RC, steel and masonry you are likely to encounter projects utilising glass and timber. They need a structural engineer to join one of their busy project teams headed up by an associate. team who has achieved or is working towards chartered status ( MICE, MIStructE or equivalent). The role will involve regular client contact and requires knowledge of a broad range of building structures, plus the ability to take responsibility for your own workload.
