Overview

A civil engineer with temporary works design and management experience is required by a highly regarded civil & structural consultancy. The position offers challenging,  high profile work and provides flexible working with scope for continued progression. The role is design focused with regular site and client visits, and the option to be home based two days per week. They are looking for an experienced, degree qualified engineer with a background that includes the design of basements, foundations, temporary works, piling and structures. Their specialist expertise is in high demand and attracts healthy fee margins. Projects are predominantly in Central London covering permanent and temporary works engineering.

Good interpersonal skills are essential, you will work closely with contractors and developers. In addition, there will be junior engineers and technicians to guide and manage. Their current workload includes adding basement levels to one of London’s historic entertainment venues, several central London projects requiring façade and basement retention and a range of commercial, rail and residential schemes. The company enjoys low staff turnover, they work in a buoyant sector and offer a friendly working environment that will provide career progression. It is worth noting that their offices are only 30 minutes away from Central London by train.
