Overview

An opportunity with one of the capital’s more technically accomplished, independent structural design practices. The position will suit an engineer looking looking for more stimulating project exposure with the support to become chartered and progress.

Your Role: With the support of an associate, you will carry out conceptual designs, negotiate fees and supervise detail design and delivery. You will develop a close working relationship with architects, taking more ownership of schemes as your understanding of their requirements builds. You will work closely with the junior engineers and technicians assisting you and provide technical guidance.

A flat management structure and open plan studio layout means information flows freely. Design team members have insight on the whole design process and projects are very much a team effort.

About you: A building structures engineer with a strong interest in architecture and engineering. A willingness to work towards chartered status with the IStructE or ICE. A 2:1 or above in civil or structural engineering. Experience of working well in a team environment.
