An opportunity for a  structural engineer offering  meaningful change, heighted job security and progression. Our client is one of the UK’s largest infrastructure operators. They own and operate two major UK sites with a vast array of buildings and facilities with extensive site infrastructure.

Your Role: Their in-house engineering team manages an on-going programme of capital and expansion projects, improvement schemes and planned maintenance. Your role will be varied, and  include; specification of works, liaison with external design consultants, design approval,  driving innovation ( design, sustainability and the use of materials) and providing  technical advice to colleagues and contractors.

Training & Progression: Our client invests heavily in its employees, providing ICE and IStructE training, mentoring and regular CPD activities. Career progression is encouraged to ensure  succession plans are met. You will gain invaluable on-the-job experience spanning scope and specification stages through to delivery. The role will furnish you with highly sought after  management, technical and delivery skills.

Profile Required: You should be a degree qualified structural or civil engineer, with experience gained with a consultancy, or in a technical role for a contractor. You will be a graduate member of the ICE or IStructE with plans to become chartered. The position calls for a mix of technical and practical understanding, and the ability to think laterally. Experience of the  commonly used materials – reinforced concrete,  steel and masonry – is preferable.
