Our clients’ growth is driven by work in the rail, commercial and residential sectors where they provide structural and development infrastructure expertise. This position has a focus on projects for Network Rail and TFL  with an emphasis on design management and delivery. This is an expanding practice working in buoyant sectors, it provides plenty of scope for swift career progression,

Your Role: You will work closely with clients and be involved at conceptual design stages. In conjunction with the engineers under your supervision you will carry out steel, concrete and masonry design. This will involve checking designs and ensuring they are practical, cost effective and meet industry standards. You will also assist directors as they bid for work providing input to help determine fee proposals. You will take responsibility for co-ordinating civil engineering work on larger multi-disciplinary projects and answer design queries at construction phase.

Project Workload: Design of station redevelopments, platforms, platform extensions, bridges, escalator structures and lift shafts, retaining walls, culverts and associated civil infrastructure. In addition they regularly work on rail associated building projects.

Your Profile: A degree qualified civil engineer with rail related civil / structural experience. Knowledgeable in reinforced concrete and steel design and capable of managing the production of detail design from concept stages through to completion. A good communicator who can forge productive working relationships with client representatives and external stakeholders. Ideally you should be working towards chartered status, the company runs an ICE approved training scheme, it also provides excellent support and mentoring to achieve IStructE chartership or incorporation.
