Work at the leading edge of structural engineering in a role that will drive innovation. This is a research and development position with a progressive, award winning civil and structural consultancy. The practice is especially well known for their building structures design expertise and collaborations with leading architectural firms. They work on the technically challenging side of the building structures design industry, requiring the ability to apply new ideas to deliver practical, elegant and cost-effective designs. Their commitment to research and development and continuous improvement is supported by on-going re-investment. Your role will be to instigate, organise and co-ordinate R&D that is being carried out in-house and alongside universities and industry partners. This currently takes in structural design techniques, materials technology, dampening technology and modular design.

You should be a chartered civil (MICE) or structural (MIStructE) engineer with at least eight years’ experience. An interest in architecture and advanced engineering, backed up with technical know-how and evidence of innovation in structural engineering is essential. This is one of London’s more dynamic, successful consultancies. You will report to the management team and work in highly resourced purpose designed studios alongside bright and motivated colleagues.
