Overview

A building structures engineer with strong design skills and project delivery experience is required by this long established civil and structural consultancy. The practice typically works on projects valued between £1m -£10m, with an emphasis on the residential market, plus work on challenging schemes for the education, health and commercial sectors. They are an agile business that for over twenty years has focused on buoyant areas of the industry. They provide high levels of technical expertise and client care, in turn securing a loyal customer base and receiving regular referrals.

Your Role: You will be involved at client advisory stages, scheme design, detail design and delivery. Well developed interpersonal skills are required as there will be regular client contact and the need to provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Your Profile: Degree qualified with a 2:1 or above in civil or structural engineering. A consulting engineering background and conversant in steel and RC design, ideally with some knowledge of timber and masonry. You should be a graduate member of the ICE or IStructE and be aiming to become a chartered engineer. Mentoring and support is provided, they have a strong record of successfully putting their engineers through professional exams and reviews.
