An opportunity to develop project management skills with a renowned PM specialist. The position will provide a move from design into design and project management. They are looking for a civil engineer who has gained experience in the design of development led infrastructure projects. This could have been with a consultancy or the design division of a developer or contractor. Your experience should include roads and drainage design, knowledge of flood risk would also be useful. You will receive on-going training and will learn valuable project management methods and procedures Your technical knowledge will then be used to oversee the successful commissioning and delivery of civil infrastructure. Their projects have a leaning towards large scale schemes with a strong architectural emphasis. These buildings will often be strategically important and typically include corporate headquarters, arts centres, sporting facilities, hospitals, schools, multi-storey residential developments and student accommodation. Approximately sixty percent of their workload is in London and the South East the remainder evenly spread across the UK. There will be encouragement and support to go on to become a professionally qualified project manager (e.g. an APM registered project professional) . You will be managing reputable external consultant practices with whom you will foster a productive relationship.
