Overview

A chartered civil (MICE) or Structural (MIStructE) engineer with design and delivery experience gained in building or civil structures is required by a respected operating company. This is an opportunity to become a key member of an engineering department that oversees the development and maintenance of buildings, bridges, drainage, plant & heavy civil engineering assets on a complex facility. Reporting to the chief engineer you will be involved in the maintenance and improvement of assets and new developments. Your duties will include directing survey and inspection staff, preparation of design specifications, overseeing construction, liaison with framework consultants and contractors and ensuring adherence to CDM regulations.

About You: A chartered civil or structural engineer with a strong technical background that incudes design and assessment, ideally gained with a consultant or contractor. A track record of working on new, refurbishment or maintenance projects and evidence of delivering projects, guiding junior engineers/ technicians, and working with clients and stakeholders. A willingness to apply your expertise to a wide range of civil structural subjects with an emphasis on on-going civil and structural asset management, maintenance and improvement. Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
