Overview

An opportunity for a roads or drainage design engineer to gain management and delivery experience, working on the client side of the industry with a leading developer. You will be involved in projects from advisory stages through to delivery and site supervision. You will provide advice at land purchasing stages, manage detail design delivery and oversee completion of projects on site. The role will suit an engineer with a consulting engineering background who wants to broaden their career prospects. The position offers career progression, training and generous terms of employment.

You will work alongside a team of civil engineers, architects and surveyors as a key member of their in-house technical team, providing front-end advice on roads and drainage feasibility prior to land purchase, design, co-ordination and site monitoring. Your line manager, a chartered civil engineer, will provide support, guidance, and additional mentorship if you are working towards ICE chartership or incorporation. The position offers experience in the development side of the business that is as varied as it is interesting. You will have an end to end involvement in projects that will give you invaluable insight and provide sought after engineering and management skills.

Your Profile: A degree or HND qualified civil engineer with roads or drainage design experience gained in a consulting engineering environment. A working knowledge of AutoCAD and industry standard design software. In addition to your technical background you will need good organisational and interpersonal skills.
