Overview

An opportunity to join a profitable and established  civil and structural engineering consultancy in their recently opened Hampshire office. Our client is looking for a structural engineer with a strong technical background and some breadth of experience. The practice is especially busy within the rail sector, this presents a wide variety of work on buildings, bridges, depots, car parks (including multi-storey) and stations. Their building structures workload is also growing with a focus on  industrial, healthcare and education projects.

Working alongside the civil engineering  director you will play a leading role in project delivery and of junior engineers and technicians. The position is client facing and you will be involved in specification, site supervision, quality control and developing designs from first principals. Your workload will encompass new build, maintenance, and improvement schemes covering reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures.

Your Profile: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer who is chartered or incorporated status with the ICE or IStructE, or working towards chartered status.  A proven design background gained within the consulting or contracting sector that includes either civil structures or  building structures.  Good interpersonal and  communication skills are essential.
