News Update from Lethaby & Cook

The first period of the new year has been steady for Lethaby & Cook, with a surprising number of new M&E projects commencing, especially in the office refurbishment sector. In general, with COVID-19 restrictions still in place, the market remains volatile, with many projects delayed or cancelled. This may cause a mini post-Covid boom in some sectors, but it would be foolish to try to be an economic expert.

Our civil engineering and forensics arm to the business has been buoyant, with, dare I say it, an international feel. We have recently completed successful search and select assignments in Singapore and Spain, as well as back here in the UK. The forensics and loss adjusting sector has been a key part of our business this year and it continues to evolve.

So, all in all, things could be better, but they could be much worse. By keeping a tight rein on overheads, we are in a stable position going forward into 2021. With plenty of positive news emerging about vaccinations and the treatment of COVID-19, perhaps some sort of normality will resume?

For more information about what we can offer you with regards to permanent and contract recruitment in your sector, please get in touch. In the meantime, we hope our clients can maintain and gain new projects as we go into the warmer days of spring, after what feels a winter that has been longer than most.
