Overview

An opportunity within our client’s new civil and structural London design office. This is a position in the fastest growing part of this multidiscipline business, and one of the most profitable. Driving their expansion is their work in the buoyant data centre, power distribution, battery storage, vehicle charging infrastructure, and renewables sectors. This is a shrewdly managed business with an order book stretching beyond 2030. The role offers the conditions for advancement to director, and a robust workload ensuring a high level of employment security.

Company Overview: One of the UK’s longest established  multidiscipline practices with offices throughout the UK.  The company employs over two hundred staff , they are focused on client care and  technical excellence, with a focus on sectors that are profitable and growing.  They are in a period of carefully managed expansion, their civil and structural division is set to double in size over the next five years.

Your Role: With the support of the structures director, you will be involved in scheme design, the supervision of design production and supervision of junior engineers. You will be involved in projects from client advisory stages, through to completion and will work closely with the partner in charge of the civil and structural division. Your role will evolve as you become familiar with the business and its clients, with increasing input on project selection, business strategy and commercial management.       

Profile Required:

  • Chartered or incorporated ( or nearing ) with the IStructE, ICE or Engineers Ireland
  • Building / superstructures project delivery experience
  • Steel and concrete structural design experience
  • Concept Design Experience
  • Experience of supervising junior engineers
  • An interest in future career promotion
  • Currently working at senior engineer or project engineer level.
