Overview

Training, support to become chartered and a varied, challenging workload is on offer with this leading, independently owned consultancy. They work on major projects including commercial and corporate buildings, waste to energy plants, renewable energy, historic, pharmaceutical projects and more. You will join a structural team with a high level of technical expertise, directed by four chartered structural engineers who will provide day to day guidance and support and mentoring to prepare you for your IStructE part three exams, should you which to become a chartered civil engineer the company runs an ICE approved training scheme, the same high level of support and mentorship will be provided through one of their senior chartered civil or structural engineers.

You should have reinforced concrete and steel design experience and be prepared to develop skills in the other commonly used materials. You can expect widely differing projects both in scale and structural engineering content and will work ever more closely with clients, gradually taking on more responsibility for work packages, projects and client liaison. Your background should include at least two years building structures experience and you should ideally be a graduate member of the ICE or IStructE, upon achieving chartered status your base salary will de raised.
