This opportunity for a junior or intermediate level civil or structural engineer offers invaluable training and mentorship, plus varied project experience in growth sectors. Under the supervision of a chartered engineer, you will develop knowledge in the design process covering conceptual, feasibility, site survey and detail design. In the process you will gain the skill set to progress within the company and professionally. In addition, you will be encouraged and assisted to work towards Eng Tech, incorporation, or chartered status with the ICE or IStructE.

Your broad project workload will typically include renewable energy, data centres, power distribution, commercial, residential and historic buildings. As well as honing your steel and concrete design expertise you will steadily gain project delivery experience. You will become an integral part of the civil and structural division, accompany senior engineers on site visits, attend design team meetings and become acquainted with clients and external consultants.

About you; A degree qualified civil or structural engineer with around two to three years’ work experience. Your background should include some exposure to steel and concrete design gained with a design consultancy or contractor, this could have had a civil or structural focus. Good interpersonal and team working skills are essential, as is the willingness to learn and develop your technical, delivery and management expertise. Some existing knowledge of using industry standard design software and Auto CAD.
