Overview

This building structures position will suit an engineer looking for an established, prestige practice offering swift progression and technical interest. Our client’s London studios’ workload is predominantly in the capital and the South of the country. They are looking for an engineer who will be able to progress to senior engineer level, taking advantage of the training and mentorship provided. Under the guidance of the structural associate, you will be involved in the design process from inception to completion. In addition to your main detail design, you will carry out site surveys, attend design team meetings and liaise with architects and contractors. You will gain experience that will prepare you for career progression and professional qualification with the ICE or IStructE.

They are an independently owned civil and structural consultancy employing over fifty staff.  Their building structures capability is especially visible, with conservation, hotel / leisure, industrial, education projects, amongst many others, receiving industry interest. They are a medium size design house that regularly wins out when pitted against some of the country’s biggest consultancies. They have a large contingent of chartered civil and structural engineers, low levels of staff turnover and offer clients a consistent level of personalised customer care, engineering quality and value. This has been a winning combination throughout the decades they have been trading, and their continued success means they are steadily expanding.

Profile Required: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer with at least three years structural design experience. The ability to design in steel and reinforced concrete, and knowledge of Auto CAD and industry standard design/analysis software. A willingness to learn and develop, with the ambition to progress to senior engineer level. The firm’s high level of client care and collaboration demands good interpersonal and team working skills.
