Electrical Supervisor

Our client is a well-established and growing electrical contractor delivering commercial installation projects across London and the South of England. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their team.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys leading from the front while remaining actively involved in installation work. The successful candidate will oversee electrical operatives on site, ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently, and maintain the high standards of workmanship expected by both the business and its clients.

Projects are located across the South of England, including the Thames Valley, London and surrounding areas, so flexibility to travel is essential.

The Role

As Electrical Supervisor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of commercial electrical installations from project commencement through to completion. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate labour, materials and plant requirements while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.

You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical operatives on site, carrying out installation work when required, and maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality and site housekeeping. The role will also involve conducting site inspections and quality checks, completing site documentation and progress reports, supporting commissioning and project handovers, and proactively identifying and resolving site issues.

A key part of the position will be building positive relationships with clients, main contractors and other trades, while mentoring apprentices and supporting the development of junior electricians within the team.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should hold an ECS Gold Card, SSSTS qualification and City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent). You will have proven experience supervising electrical installation teams within commercial environments and possess strong technical knowledge of commercial electrical installations.

The ideal candidate will be capable of leading teams while remaining hands-on when required, with a sound understanding of health and safety legislation and site practices. Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Experience

Applicants with commercial fit-out experience will be highly regarded, as will those holding IPAF, PASMA or First Aid at Work qualifications. Experience managing subcontract labour and working across multiple project locations would also be advantageous.
