Overview

An opportunity for a construction planner with a major operating company that manages a substantial and expanding estate. Their assets include roads, pavements, drainage, buildings and specialist logistics facilities. Your role will encompass the planning and programming of civil, structural and M&E works, this will include new developments and on-going maintenance and improvements projects.

Reporting to the head of projects you will provide project scheduling, risk mitigation tracking and monthly updates. You will use your expertise to identify and implement improved methods of reporting, providing scope for you to be innovative and to apply new ideas that drive efficiency and quality. The position will involve close working with their in-house engineering department, commercial team and procurement manager.

About you: You should be an experienced construction/ programme planner familiar with tracking projects to well defined performance indicators. A background in building, civil engineering or asset management working in a project management office environment is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Project and an understanding of risk, cost and procurement factors. In addition to your technical expertise you will need to be a good communicator, able to work with a range of stakeholders and in-house clients.
