Overview

Gain civil engineering project management and delivery experience with a highly regarded client organisation. As a member of their in-house engineering and management team you will be involved in projects from conception to completion. This will entail undertaking feasibility studies, preparation of scope of works for external civil and structural consultants, the review of tender submissions and project management of construction works being carried out by external contractors. The work will encompass roads, bridges, pavements, drainage, buildings and specialist logistics facilities. You will be part of a substantial in-house engineering and site team, this provides invaluable access to expertise and professional guidance.

Training & Progression: You will work under the supervision of a senior engineering manager and have guidance from a supervising chartered civil engineer. The company provides an ICE training scheme and the support and experience needed to achieve chartered status. There is regular in-house training and the assistance to acquire additional vocational qualifications. About you: A degree qualified civil, or structural engineer, with at least three years work experience. Exposure to civil or structural design from a consulting practice, contractor’s design office or client organisation. An elemental grasp of the design and construction process. Experience in the use of CAD and some understanding of CDM. A full UK driving licence.
