Overview

A technical leadership role with an established, high quality, medium size practice that offers progression and technical interest. Our client’s London office workload is predominantly in the capital and the South East. They are looking for a chartered engineer to manage a project team of six engineers.  You will work closely with clients at initial advisory stages and go on to manage project delivery. You will organise and supervise detail design production , provide  guidance to your team and ensure design and  client care  standards  are met. Working alongside a partner you will have influence over project selection, recruitment and strategy. All of which will prepare you for progression to partner level.

Company Overview: An independently owned  consultancy employing over fifty staff. The practice is known for their technical expertise across civil, structural and developer led infrastructure disciplines. Their building structures capability is especially visible, with conservation, hotel and leisure, industrial and education projects, amongst many others, receiving industry interest. They are a medium size design house that regularly wins work when competing against some of the country’s biggest consultancies. They have a large contingent of chartered civil and structural engineers and offer clients a consistent level of personalised customer care, engineering quality and value that is difficult to match. This has been a winning combination throughout the half century they have been trading.

Profile Required: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer with at least seven years structural design experience. You should be chartered with the ICE or  IStructE. Experienced in conceptual design, design delivery, client care and the management of junior engineers and technicians. Knowledge of industry standard software such as TEKLA Structural Designer, Robot or TEDDS, or similar packages, is essential, as is a background in reinforced concrete and steel projects.
