Progress your career with a growing civil and structural engineering practice that will provide training and invaluable work experience. Our client is an independent civil and structural consultancy with work in buoyant sectors, with a particular focus on projects in London. Under the guidance of the structural director, you will carry out detail design of predominantly masonry, steel and timber projects, typically valued up to. The scale of your work will be ideal for gaining experience in the whole design and delivery process and you will be mentored by a chartered structural engineer. Support and encouragement will be provided should you which to pursue professional membership of the IStructE or ICE.

Your background: Qualified to HND or degree level  with a minimum of two years’ structural engineering experience, in addition you should have a fundamental understanding of CAD. This could have been gained within a consultancy or a contractor’s design office. Some breadth of experience in materials is advantageous, however you will learn to become proficient in steel, concrete, masonry and timber design. You should be conversant in using structural design software. They use a range of packages, which you will become familiar with, including, Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer and Revit.

You will be based out of their offices in West London (when current restrictions are lifted), a five minute walk from Piccadilly and District line tube stations. A good degree of working flexibility is provided and you will benefit from working in well resourced modern offices.
