Overview

A civil engineer looking for broader experience and more management emphasis is required by this leading property and project management consultancy. The position will ideally suit a civil or structural engineer with an interest in the project delivery process.

Your role: Their workload covers industrial, commercial, energy as well as more mainstream building projects. The civil and structural team produces its own detail designs, they also use specialist external civil consulting engineers. Your role, supported by the principal civil and structural engineer will involve close working relationships with clients and external consultants, requiring regular site visits to track progress. There is a limited design requirement as much of the detail design will be carried out by colleagues and external civil and structural consultants. The position can be home or office based, you will be equipped with a company computer and phone and fully supported by their IT department.

About you: A degree qualified engineer with a background in civil or structural design. This could have been gained working in infrastructure, buildings, energy or heavy civil engineering. Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, steel and foundations would be beneficial. Good interpersonal skills will be essential, you will build mutually beneficial relationships with your own colleagues, clients and external stakeholders.
