Our client, a leading, independent tunnelling consultancy works in the UK and internationally. They have commissions on high profile projects in the rail, road and utilities sectors. Their expertise in tunnelling, geotechnics and associated temporary works spans client advisory and concept design, detail design and construction support. Their workload has a leaning towards high value projects in rock and soft ground conditions.

This is an opportunity to join one of the industry’s most technically accomplished specialist consulting practices. The prospects for career and technical progression with this growing independent firm are excellent. They are looking for a geotechnical engineer with finite element analysis experience and an appreciation of CDM requirements. You will predominantly be involved in the design of shafts, tunnels and structures. You will be a key member of a team collaborating closely with clients. Work will include detail design, geotechnical investigations and interpretations, feasibility studies, tender design for contractors, value engineering, expert review/advice and project management.

You will need a 2:1 or above from reputable university and should be chartered or working towards chartered status with the ICE. Good team working skills are essential.
