Overview

A talented geotechnical engineer is required to join our clients’ HS2 delivery group and embark on several years conceptual and detail design delivery. You will be a key member of a design team of geotechnical, civil and structural engineers delivering a range of bridges and associated above and below ground structures work. You will be joining a highly regarded, employee owned consultancy with a reputation for heavy civil engineering expertise, employing over two hundred engineers internationally.

You should be a degree qualified geotechnical engineer and ideally be chartered, or very close to achieving ICE chartered status. A background in rail related projects would be ideal. You will be involved in detail design and analysis for bridge foundations, piling, embankments, culverts and portals. Experience of using industry standard design and FEM software such as Plaxis, Oasys, Masters Series or similar. The practice is particularly well known for innovation and constructability, you will need strong lateral thinking and technical expertise.

This is an opportunity for a career with a well managed business offering a long term workload. You will work from home until the current social isolation status subsides and then out of their new London offices. It is envisaged that there will be at least five years’ work on their HS2 workload with future work on major UK transportation infrastructure projects to follow.
