Overview

Work on development infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally with a highly regarded, award winning practice. Their civil engineering division has a new opportunity for an intermediate level civil engineer with drainage design and flood risk / alleviation experience. The position offers training and experience on major projects and provides generous remuneration, excellent working conditions and career prospects. Reporting to the civil engineering team leader you will work on schemes valued up to £200M and be involved in agreeing design principles, procuring project resources, designing roads and drainage infrastructure and preparing flood risk assessments.

Knowledge of WinDes / MicroDrainage /PDS or similar design software would be advantageous. You should have a good civil engineering degree and be working towards chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) or Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) . This is one of the UK’s larger independent multidiscipline engineering consultancies, it has a strong civil engineering capability. They provide a very high standard of training for those looking to become chartered and to develop professionally. The position will involve working closely with longstanding and valued clients. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
