This home based position offers career progression with a leading contractor. Our client has provided expertise in ground stabilisation, foundation engineering and land remediation throughout the UK and Europe for over thirty years. They are leaders in the field with work across the building and civil engineering sectors. This is an opportunity for a civil, structural of geotechnical engineer to work alongside the director of the northern region. The role has a technical focus but will also involve you in commercial aspects of the firm’s expansion providing ideal experience for further advancement.
In the field your role will be to survey and diagnose damage and defects affecting civil and building structures. You will recommend and agree with clients the reinstatement measures to be taken and prepare specifications and track and advise on individual projects through to successful completion. In addition, you will provide market insight to their commercial director to support their continued growth with direction on potential new business opportunities.

About you: A degree qualified civil, structural or geotechnical engineer. Knowledge of ground related engineering issues will have been gained with either a consultant or a contractor. Good interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite, there will be regular contact with clients, in-house surveyors and regular reporting to the regional manager and commercial director. Regular site visits across the north of the country mean you will need to hold a valid UK driving license.
