Overview

The design group for this leading contractor provides technical support for projects in the UK and overseas. The London region is home to many of their complex and high profile building and civil engineering projects. The appointment is the result of a sustained workload and strong long term business forecasts. They have an opportunity for a temporary works engineer looking for a long-term career opportunity. You will provide full design and consultation to both site based and tender teams. There will be extensive liaison with clients requiring occasional presentations.

Their purpose built offices are home to a multidiscipline team of engineers, architects and project managers and offer a range of facilities including car parking. There are on-going CPD activities, excellent support from senior technical managers and the opportunity to progress your career.

Your Background: Experience of steel and concrete design is essential. There is some flexibility on the level they will hire at, you could be either chartered with the ICE or IStructE or working towards chartership. Furthermore, you should be familiar with some of the specialist aspects of temporary works such as falsework and formwork, facade support, ground support and propping, foundations for tower cranes, mobile crane hoists and gantries.
